The Health Promoter is responsible for assessing, promoting, and enhancing community health while preventing diseases and injuries using population-health approaches. This includes planning and executing communication campaigns and coordinating community initiatives in alignment with Public Health Core Competencies.
Candidates must hold a four-year university degree in Health Education, Health Promotion, Sciences, or a related field with one to two years of experience. Additional requirements include a valid Ontario driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and up-to-date immunization status.

Grand Erie Public Health (GEPH) is seeking a highly motivated candidate for a position of Health Promoter to be responsible for assessing, promoting, and enhancing health and preventing disease and injuries. This role uses population-health approaches based on health promotion theories and evidence to plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion strategies, ensuring alignment with the Public Health Core Competencies as outlined by the Public Health Agency of Canada. In addition, you will plan and execute ongoing communications campaigns across different program areas within GEPH and assist in coordinating community initiatives. Collaboration with Health Unit staff, community agencies, and partners is essential. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in public health and community well-being.
