The RPN is responsible for establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and families to assess health needs. They plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within a fast-paced acute medical environment.
Candidates must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a current BLS certification. Proficiency in acute medical nursing and basic computer skills for electronic health records are required.

The successful candidate must be available to work all tours applicable to the department in accordance with the availability and non-availability requirements outlined in the OPSEU Service Collective Agreement. In addition, this position must be flexible to occasional changes in hours when required to meet the operational needs of the department.
