Position Overview Within a team context and under the general supervision of the Manager, Child Health, the incumbent is responsible primarily for provision of clinical services to a pediatric population consisting of both inpatients and outpatients: assessment, director intervention in group and individual contexts, indirect or intervention (e.g., home programming, parent training). Program development, education and in-services, outcome evaluations, patient/family counselling and quality improvement activities are integral components of the position. Experience Previous experience with the pediatric population is required.
Victoria General Hospital has a mandate to provide service in French; preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited/recognized University is required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Basic Life Saving (CPR) training is required. Must be registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM). Membership in other professional organizations is encouraged; for example, Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
