The Pharmacist manages drug procurement, distribution, and clinical pharmacy activities. They ensure services are provided according to departmental policies, professional standards, and legal statutes.
Requires registration with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba and experience with sterile product preparation. A valid Class 5 driver's license and a hospital pharmacy residency are also highly valued.

Position Overview Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy, the Pharmacist provides services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures, professional regulations and standards and Provincial and Federal statutes. Principle functions include drug procurement, drug distribution, and clinical pharmacy activities.
The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud. Experience Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred. Previous knowledgeable and experience with sterile product preparation is required. Basic computer experience is required including typing skills (minimum 40wpm).
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency is an asset.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Current practicing membership or eligibility for registration and membership with the College of Pharmacist of Manitoba (CPhM). Membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacy (CSHP) is an asset.
and Skills Demonstrated ability to perform basic math and accounting skills. Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to communicate in more than one language would be considered an asset. Must possess effective written and oral communications skills. Demonstrated ability of good interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with others. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality including paper, electronic formats and other mediums. Good work and attendance record. Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
