Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA) Job Duties Job Duties The laboratory technologist provides support and assistance for staff and students by ensuring labs are prepared for staff and ready for quality student learning.
Duties will include all aspects of lab set up, specimen acquisition and preparation and lab take down.
Duties may also include installation, setup, as well as calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting and arranging for repair of lab equipment.
The successful applicant will recommend the purchase of capital, materials, and supplies, maintain inventories and required documentation, keep informed of changes in laboratory practices, material and equipment.
The laboratory technologist will be aware of workplace hazards and participate in establishing and enforcing safe work practices in the laboratory.

Licensed to practice as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Saskatchewan.
