The Health Care Aide provides comprehensive physical, emotional, and social support to clients through direct observation and personalized care plans. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring client status, and documenting care in the Point Click Care system.
Candidates should ideally hold a Health Care Aide Certification from a recognized Alberta institution and be listed on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Experience with mental illness, addictions, and seniors, along with a current CPR certification and a Vulnerable Sector Check, is required or preferred.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Health Care Aide (HCA) provides on-going client care through direct observation, monitoring and reporting on client status including physical, mental, emotional and psycho-social status. The Health Care Aide’s (HCA’s) role is to fulfill the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual needs of clients and in accordance with facility policies, procedures and work routines. The Health Care Aide (HCA) is responsible and accountable for providing optimal care and support to clients, client’s families and volunteers using a harm reduction approach.
