• Responsibilities are as follows:</span><span>&nbsp;</span></p> <ul> <li>Following client care plan and delivering high quality client care.</li> <li>Preparing meals and snacks for clients according to the meal plan.</li> <li>Using Catalyst system while providing assistance with medications to clients on time according to Excel Policies and procedures and checking/receiving medication that arrive while on shift.</li> <li>Performing general household duties and maintenance such cleaning, vacuuming, and laundry; and also outside maintenance such as shovelling snow, cutting grass, and gardening.</li> <li>Maintaining/updating all required documentation such as scorecards, medical records, etc.</li> <li>Assisting clients with hygiene and personal care.</li> <li>Providing emotional support to clients and using de-escalation techniques to support clients.</li> <li>Supporting and assisting clients in maintaining appointments, activities, or programs.</li> <li>Monitoring client wellbeing, physical and mental condition closely and reporting concerns to supervisor. Accompanying clients to appointments as necessary.</li> <li>Liaising with families, guardians, professionals and other resource members of the client(s)&rsquo; support network, communicating relevant client information to other team members.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>HCA certificate from an institution recognized by Alberta health Services as evidenced through enrolment in the CLHA Directory is mandate.</li> <li>Active registration and licensed through CLHA is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintain certification in First Aid and CPR Level C.</li> <li>Satisfactory current criminal record check.</li> </ul>
