The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs in an emergency setting. Responsibilities include administering medical treatments, leading the healthcare team, and coordinating patient care and discharge.
Candidates must be a graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program, hold CRNM registration, and be proficient in both English and French. Required certifications include CPR at the Healthcare Provider level and completion of the WRHA Emergency Nursing Orientation.

Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the healthcare team, and facilitating coordination of patient care and discharge. Demonstrates a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit. Experience Recent, related, experience is an asset. Current Emergency nursing experience preferred. Satisfactory employment record required.
**Emergency Nursing Orientation is a full-time program. Orientees are required to participate on a full-time basis during Level 1, 2, and 3 training periods. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
**The candidate must be able to understand and speak French at a proficiency level that allows them to sustain varied in-depth conversations with patients and families. Language proficiency will be evaluated in order to assess the applicant’s proficiency level. For more information on the required proficiency level, please contact the Human Resources Department.
