Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a nursing diploma and a Basic Life Support Certificate. Registration or eligibility with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan is required.

The Registered Nurse A is responsible to the nursing unit manager or director of nursing. The Registered Nurse A is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. As a member of the nursing department, the Registered Nurse A has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care.
