The Housing Support Worker provides on-site recovery programming and daily living support to help tenants maintain housing and achieve recovery goals. This includes conducting outreach, facilitating household tasks, and collaborating with the Tenant Relations Coordinator team.
Preferred post-secondary education in healthcare or human services and a required current First Aid Certification. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to provide functional assessments of behavioral changes.
The Housing Support Worker is a community-focused role at Central Commons dedicated to enriching tenants' daily lives through robust recovery programming and activity facilitation. Guided by Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) principles, this on-site position assists in carrying out individual support plans, outreach, and skill-building to help Tenants maintain their formal and informal support networks. Working under the Housing and Supports Manager, this role provides proactive intervention and collaborative support to the Tenant Relations Coordinator (TRC) team. The ultimate goal is to drive Tenant engagement and provide the necessary support to ensure all tenants successfully sustain their housing and achieve their recovery goals.
