• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning and disinfecting in accordance with Infection Control guidelines Ensuring patient rooms are clean and tidy Maintaining supplies and equipment required for the unit Transporting defective equipment to Biomedical Engineering Assisting with escort and transporting of patients.
• Assisting Ward Clerks in delivering requisitions, specimens, x rays, etc.
• Hours of Work Monday-Friday, Weekends; 12 hour shifts; 0700-1900 or 1300-2100.Your Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous Unit Aide experience preferred.
• Good communication skills required.
• Commitment to Family Centred Care required.
• Must be able to organize and prioritize work effectively.
• Knowledge of IWK Health fire response regulations required.
• Competency in other languages considered an asset.

This questionnaire will assess topics such as WHIMS, inflection control, privacy and confidentiality, and more.
