Carecor is seeking to build a strong pool of dedicated, skilled, and compassionate Physiotherapists with experience in acute care to join our exceptional team for an upcoming opportunity in the Toronto area.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting patients’ physical recovery and overall, well‑being. You will deliver high‑quality physiotherapy services in accordance with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Physiotherapists, Carecor’s Standards of Practice, and the policies and clinical expectations of the healthcare facility to which you are assigned. Your work will help foster an environment that promotes optimal physical function, comfort, safety, and emotional support for patients receiving acute care.

Physiotherapists will be assigned to one facility per shift, working either 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts, depending on scheduling needs. As this posting is meant to build a qualified candidate pool for a future opportunity, successful applicants will be contacted when placements become available.

Job Qualifications

• Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.
• Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and completion of supervised clinical training.
• Successful completion of the National Physiotherapy Competency Examination.
• Active registration or eligibility for registration with the NLCP.
• Completion of NLCP‑required examinations and mentorship program.
• Ability to provide a Certificate of Conduct, Declaration of Conduct, and proof of professional liability insurance.
• Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (required for NLCP active registration).
• 2 years of experience as a Physiotherapist in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate.
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B.
• Proof of negative TB skin tests within the past one year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years.
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire.
