The Caseworker provides intensive case management, life skills development, and crisis support for youth housing participants. They are responsible for connecting clients to community supports and maintaining accurate documentation of service delivery.
Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least one year of experience working with individuals facing socio-economic challenges. Candidates must possess a valid Saskatchewan Driver's License and pass a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, or designate, the Caseworker will assist in case management, service delivery, supervision of participants, and the household operations.
Education: Secondary education from Saskatchewan Polytechnic or Community Colleges or University Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and/or minimum 1 year of practical experience working with individuals impacted by socio-economic issues including homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health, poverty, and the child welfare Practical Experience: Working knowledge and experience with individuals impacted by socio-economic issues, including: homelessness, trauma, addiction, mental health, poverty, and the child welfare system. Working with a range of diverse clients, indiscriminate of: age, gender, sexual orientation, abilities, socio-economic status, religious preference, etc.
First Aid, ASIST, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, Food Safe would be considered an asset. Valid / Insurable Saskatchewan Driver’s License, insurable to drive clients in JHSS-owned vehicles. Cleared Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check, completed three (3) months prior to start date.
Computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) Rotational shifts (days, afternoons, evening, nights) during the week and on weekends.
