The technologist is responsible for performing electrocardiograms, graded exercise tests, and Holter monitoring and analysis. They also provide functional instruction to peers and trainees within the Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics Department.
Requires a Cardiology Technician Certificate and current Advanced certification from the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT). Candidates must also pass criminal record, child abuse, and adult abuse registry checks.

Position Overview Reporting to the Program Team Manager, Cardiac Diagnostics and Cardiac Clinics, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of Seven Oaks General Hospital, the General Duty Cardiology Technologist is responsible for: performing electrocardiograms, carrying out peer/trainee functional instruction, performing graded exercise tests (GXT), performing Holter hook-ups and analysis, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Individual work assignments of staff within/between the areas that comprise the Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics Department (i.e., EKG, Holter and Stress Lab) will vary based on individual skills sets and staffing levels required to provide safe, quality patient care. Staff will receive the appropriate orientation and training as required based on their work assignment(s). Experience Recent experience as a certified Cardiology Technologist is preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Successful completion of the Cardiology Technician Certificate Program from Red River College or other recognized educational institution required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Current certification by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) required. Advanced CSCT certification, or recognized equivalent, required.
