The Ultrasound Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties while ensuring patient safety and comfort. They are responsible for producing accurate images, documenting technical findings for radiologists, and maintaining imaging equipment.
Candidates must be a registered graduate of an approved Ultrasound Technologist Diploma Program with current Sonography Canada and CMRITO registrations. Proficiency in abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts sonography is required, with vascular experience and Nuchal Translucency accreditation considered assets.

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while ensuring exceptional patient care and safety. The role requires the ability to accurately identify anatomical structures and pathological processes, differentiate artefacts from diagnostic findings, and provide technical impressions to the Radiologist. The Ultrasound Technologist works collaboratively within the Diagnostic Imaging team to support efficient patient flow, maintain equipment and supplies, and uphold organizational values, professional standards, and patient confidentiality.
Education: Registered graduate from an approved Ultrasound Technologist Diploma Program
