Addictions Counsellor

What we’re looking for

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counselling)
• Certification or membership with a recognized mental health and/or addiction professional body is preferred
• Experience supporting individuals with addiction, concurrent disorders, and mental health challenges
• Strong skills in group facilitation and individual counselling
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT and DBT (considered an asset)
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and detailed documentation
• Commitment to continuous learning, professional development, and reflective practice
• Ability to contribute to a client-centered, recovery-oriented, and culturally competent care environment

Compensation is influenced by many factors including compensation principles or approach for a role or job function, organizational tenure, experience, qualifications or premium skills, external competitiveness, internal comparability, geography and work performance. Pay range for this position is $ 53,917 - $ 67,380.
