Supports the Clinical Director and Physician by performing delegated controlled acts and providing direct patient care. Responsibilities include conducting consultations, assisting in procedures, and maintaining detailed medical records.
Requires graduation from a recognized Physician Assistant program and current BCLS certification. Candidates should have at least one year of equivalent experience and strong interpersonal skills.
● Supports the Clinical Director or Physician as an extension of the supervising physician within the physician patient relationship as guided, performing controlled acts delegated by physician ● Collaborate with the Physician, nurses, professional staff, etc., to ensure the quality of patient care ● Develop ethical, professional, and trustworthy relationships with patients, families, and the health care team ● Provide patient care in a manner that is consistent with True Care’s mission and reflects core values ● Patient Consultation and Education: Assisting in conducting initial patient consultations and follow-up visits for cycle monitoring. Educating patients about fertility treatment options, procedures after the investigative cycle ● Treatment Planning: review the file and discuss with the treating physician next steps in treatment plan ● Procedure Assistance: perform IUI procedure if delegated by the Doctor. ● Patient Support: Offering emotional support to patients throughout their fertility journey and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. ● Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, test results, treatment plans, and progress notes. ● Help in reviewing results, answering patients' emails and messages. Assistant the Doctor during procedure and perform delegated orders under the Dr supervision and For follow up and review the results after reviewing and getting instructions from the Doctor. ● Administrative tasks including the review and audits of abnormal labs and imaging reports ● Perform other duties as assigned __________________________________________________________________
Formal Education or Equivalent ● Graduate of a recognized Physician Assistant program or equivalent ● Additional training or degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology is an asset ● Membership in the Canadian Association of the Physician Assistants (CAPA) is an asset ● Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Experience ● 1+ years equivalent experience in a similar role ● Ability to work in an interprofessional healthcare environment ● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills ● Ability to function collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and practice in a self-directed manner
