Position Details

• Position Title: Social Worker
• Position Type: Multiple Positions Available – Permanent and Temporary; Full-time, Part-time, and Casual
• Location: Opportunities available at any of the following Care Centres – Brentwood, Chinook, Kingsland, or Southwood.
• Hours of Work: 0800-1600
• Union: Out of Scope

Position Summary

• The Social Worker provides services that ensure the resident experiences a sense of control over his/her environment through enhancing relationships between and among residents, families, staff, teams, departments, and the community.
• The role of the Social Worker includes individual and group interventions that promote intellectual, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual and financial well-being of the facility customers, and provides leadership in developing, implementing and evaluating programs that are meaningful and valued by the customers and the organization.
• Adheres to policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensures a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Works in partnership to improve the performance of individuals, teams, and the organization in providing improved customer service for residents, guests and staff.
