• Competitive wages About the Job The successful applicant will be primarily located at the Penticton Regional Hospital and will be required to work shifts and cover collections at the nearby Summerland Health Centre. An unrestricted class 5 drivers license is a requirement of this position. Medical Laboratory Assistants perform a variety of duties such as taking blood and specimen samples from patients, preparing blood and other specimens for analysis, performing routine lab tests, distributing specimens to departments and outside Labs, operating related equipment, entering data into the LIS and performing related clerical duties and ECG testing as required. This is a Relief Full Time (1.0) opportunity until the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating days, evenings and nights shifts.
