The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive care, coordination, and management for clients with neurodegenerative disorders within an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include autonomously ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing minor invasive procedures.
Requires a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner stream) and active registration on the RN Extended Practice Register of the CRNM. A minimum of five years of experience with acute and chronic conditions, preferably in neurology, is required.

The Nurse Practitioner will function within an interdisciplinary health care team to provide comprehensive care, coordination and management of clients with neurodegenerative disorders in the Motor Neuron Disorder clinic.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
