Provide individualized one-to-one support to adults with complex mental health and behavioral needs within their homes and community. Implement person-centred plans to promote independence, skill development, and meaningful community inclusion.
Requires a minimum of one year of experience or a combination of education and experience in social sciences. Must possess a Class 5 BC Driver's License, a personal vehicle with insurance, and relevant certifications like First Aid and CPR.
Strive Living Society (Strive) is looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals to join our progressive non-profit organization as Community Support Workers in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program.
The Supported Independent Living (SIL) Program provides individualized, one-to-one support to adults in their community, with a strong focus on building independence, stability, and quality of life.
This role involves supporting individuals with diverse abilities, including those with complex mental health needs, behavioural challenges, and co-occurring conditions, through structured, rehabilitation-focused approaches.
SIL staff work collaboratively to implement person-centred plans that promote skill development, emotional regulation, and meaningful community inclusion
00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
$25.95/hour *plus benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements.
*Some benefits have eligibility requirements of surpassing three (3) months and securing a regular position of 20hrs/week or more. The benefits and criteria may change from time to time at the discretion of Strive.
