The Program Assistant provides direct care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities to foster independence and community participation. They are responsible for maintaining accurate records, implementing behavior support plans, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and current CPR/First Aid certification. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a police and vulnerable sector screening.

The Day Support Assistant is an active, supportive role providing direct care and assistance to persons with developmental disabilities. The Day Support Assistant assists individuals to gain new life and relational opportunities, and skills. They may also assist in the maintenance of safe, clean, comfortable environments; the maintenance of appropriate documentation and records; the implementation of individualized goals and/or Behavior Support Plans; and the maintenance of appropriate communication with individuals, L’Arche homes, families, guardians, professionals, other team members, and Community representatives.
