Responsible for the health and well-being of shelter animals through medical assessments, treatments, and diagnostic interventions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate animal records and providing support and education to clients.
Requires a Veterinary Technician diploma and professional proficiency in English, with registration with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians preferred. Candidates must be between 15-30 years old and meet Canada Summer Jobs eligibility criteria.
This is initially an 8-week position with the possibility of extension. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates and early-career Veterinary Technicians interested in gaining experience in animal shelter medicine.
Animal Care is responsible for the health and well-being of Ottawa Humane Society (OHS) and other animals in the shelter, including providing medical assessments and interventions.
This is a new temporary contract position through the Canada Summer Jobs program, with a contract term of 8 weeks. 1) be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period;

3) have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
