The Program Aide plans and implements activities for Day Program clients while ensuring a safe and supportive environment. They provide high-quality personal care, assist with meals, and encourage social interaction among seniors.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario or equivalent and hold a C.P.R. certification. Proficiency in both English and Chinese, along with a satisfactory vulnerable sector police check, is required.
Implements and ensures smooth operation of the activities in a safe, hygienic and supportive environment Provides high quality personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene Provides meal services or assists in meal preparation and assists the clients in eating in accordance with the client's wish and ability Assists the client in participating in social activities and encourages social interaction Assists the team to prepare program materials Responds promptly to medical emergencies and takes appropriate action Assists the clients in the proper use and care of adaptive devices Delivers, portions and serves meals according to diet order and client preference Complies with health and safety policies to minimize the risk to clients, coworkers and self Qualifications: Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent Completion of a C.P.R.
