The physician will provide essential surgical, obstetrical, and emergency services at Inuvik Regional Hospital. Responsibilities include performing Cesarean sections, endoscopy, and various surgical procedures while serving as the local gateway to surgical specialties.
Candidates must hold a CCFP designation with ESS or OSS training and possess Cesarean section capability. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in the Northwest Territories.
MDSearch is recruiting General Practitioners with Enhanced Surgical Skills (ESS) or Obstetrical Surgical Skills (OSS) to join Inuvik Regional Hospital, the sole hospital serving the Beaufort-Delta region. This role supports essential surgical, obstetrical, and emergency services for a broad rural catchment area. Cesarean section capability is required, and endoscopy skills are highly valued as they support the continued functionality of the operating room.
Front-line surgical and operative obstetrical skills are foundational to maintaining a high-quality obstetrical program and supporting Emergency Department services.

Procedures are well supported by the local OR team, with opportunities to scrub in with visiting surgical specialists from Yellowknife.
Hourly rate (no fee for service), along with on-call remuneration.
