The Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical assessment, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe pharmaceuticals for patients with acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. They will also engage in community needs assessments and collaborate with inter-professional teams to promote health and prevent disease.
Applicants must hold a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree and be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS). Candidates are also required to provide a valid Criminal Record Check including a vulnerable sector search.

Advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. Nurse blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions patients. Position practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. Practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities.
