Patient Attendant - Casual

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Patient Attendants (PAs) to join our amazing team working in hospitals serving Dartmouth and surrounding areas.

Patient Attendants (PA) are responsible to observe and assist with the care of one or two patients through simple comfort measures such as keeping the patient company or watching how they are doing. For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 12-hour shift.

Job Qualifications

• Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.
• High School Diploma or Some College preferred
• At least one year of recent personal care experience in a similar position or life experience in which similar duties were completed
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, and hepatitis B and COVID-19
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years
• Current Standard First Aid Level A
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
• Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
