The pharmacist performs clinical duties including medication distribution, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and verifying order appropriateness. They also monitor patient drug therapies, provide drug information, and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure safe and effective medication management.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure in Manitoba. A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle are required for service delivery across the region.

This role reports to the Director/Manager/Supervisor of Pharmacy in the applicable site. Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) employs over 7,500 employees who work together to improve the physical, mental, social, cultural and spiritual needs of individuals, families and communities in Western Manitoba. Position Overview The pharmacist functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary health care team and performs all duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Prairie Mountain Health.
Experience Previous experience in hospital pharmacy practice is preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or equivalent undergraduate pharmacy degree Licensed, or eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the Province of Manitoba Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada Certification
and Skills Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service within Prairie Mountain Health Demonstrated leadership and independent judgement.
