Job Description

Public health nursing provides services that include postnatal care; childhood, school, and adult immunizations; client and staff education/orientation; influenza programming; communicable disease follow-up; and travel health services. This position will include a work assignment of a subset of these services.

Experience One year experience as a Public Health Nurse or Immunization Nurse is an asset Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies Advanced - Communication skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Advanced - Organizational skills Advanced - Assessment skills Advanced - Change management skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge in population and public health concepts Ability to adapt to changing conditions Ability to competently use computers and software applications Other Information Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives Travel within the region and provincially Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) For more information on the city of Meadow Lake please visit https://www.meadowlake.ca/ Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
