The role involves providing temporary clinical coverage as a Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist, focusing on inpatient liver transplant service duties, including on-call coverage, and participating in outpatient transplant clinics. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute actively to teaching and mentorship for medical students, residents, and fellows.
Candidates must be a Gastroenterologist or Internal Medicine specialist with advanced training in liver transplantation and hepatology, requiring RCPSC certification or eligibility, and completion of a recognized Transplant Hepatology fellowship or significant clinical experience at an academic center. Mandatory requirements include ACLS certification and CMPA coverage.
