The Psychiatrist is clinically responsible for assigned patients, covering admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, daily care, and discharge, including medication management and referrals to specialized services. They must collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, provide ongoing supervision, and complete high-quality documentation using electronic medical platforms.
Candidates must hold a specialist certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent, and be in good standing with the CPSO. Experience managing complex psychiatric disorders and comorbid mental health/substance use disorders is preferred, alongside strong collaboration and communication skills.
A part-time opportunity is available for a Psychiatrist at The Residence at Homewood, starting in June.
In this role, the Psychiatrist will deliver on-site, evidence-based psychiatric care for individuals living with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and concurrent disorders. Working collaboratively within a dedicated interdisciplinary team, including Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Addiction Counselling, Art Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Strength & Conditioning, and 24/7 Nursing, the Psychiatrist will play a key role in comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, and clinical oversight throughout the client’s stay.
