The Health Care Aide collaborates with the care team, under LPN supervision, to deliver safe and thorough basic care and services to residents, including observing and reporting changes in resident status. They participate in developing the Nursing Care Plan by sharing observations and assisting residents with mobility and community functions.
Candidates must be graduates of a Health Care Aide program (or provincial equivalent with minimum 500 hours) and have experience working with seniors in community health services. Required attributes include strong communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring clients.
