The Nurse Practitioner will manage and treat common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions by ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing pharmaceuticals, and performing specific procedures, practicing within a framework of evidence-based primary care. Responsibilities also include building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities, supporting inter-professional collaboration, and participating in continuous improvement projects.
Candidates must possess a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) or an acceptable Master of Nurse Practitioner degree, along with a Valid Class 5 driver's license and Basic/Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificates. Registration or eligibility for registration with the CRNS as an RN (NP) is mandatory.
