This position represents a regular full time training opportunity (theory and practicum) to prepare staff to work in the specified Island Health specialty department. Upon completion of the training the staff member will be placed into a regular full time rotation line in the specialty department that they have been trained for. (Please note: There is an 18 month return of service requirement as a regular/permanent employee within the Island Health specialty department for which they have been trained.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN, recent medical and/or surgical experience, full-time attendance in specialty training, effective communication, organizational skills, ability to handle internal and external contacts, physical ability to perform duties.
