Qualifications
Completion of an accredited degree/post diploma Ultrasound program, or recognized equivalent.
Registered in good standing with College of Medical Radiation & Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada.
Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program.
A minimum of two years experience working as a DMS
Experience demonstrating clinical competency in all aspects of ultrasound procedures required.
Experience in performing general, abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, small parts and paediatric ultrasound examinations required.
MSK experience is an asset

Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency procedures in accordance with established methods as described in departmental Policies and Procedures manuals, while documenting high quality images. Including but not limited to abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts.
Experience in musculoskeletal, neurosonography, vascular imaging, as well as assisting in interventional procedures an asset.
Operate, troubleshoot and ensure ultrasound, medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner.
Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results.
Ability to work all shifts including standby.
Supervise student technologists during clinical placements
Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition, including maintaining the ultrasound and biopsy equipment inventory list and working with the manager to repair and order new equipment as required.
