This role is responsible for the daily provision of nursing care to residents, which includes assessing individual needs, implementing appropriate treatments, dispensing medications, and maintaining accurate documentation as mandated by legislation and policies. The Registered Practical Nurse collaborates closely with other nursing staff and reports directly to the Registered Nurse on duty.
Candidates must possess current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold a current CPR Heart Saver Certificate. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to adapt to evolving care practices, are also required.
Position: Registered Practical Nurse
This position is responsible for the daily provision of nursing care to residents including assessment of individual requirements, implementation of appropriate treatment, dispensing pharmaceuticals, and accurate charting documentation and recording as required by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (MOHLTC) legislation, College of Nurses standards of practice and Ritz Lutheran Villa policies and procedures. The RPN works closely with the nursing staff and reports to the Registered Nurse on duty.
