The Personal Support Worker will provide direct resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, and hygiene, while also administering specific medications under supervision with additional training. They will also support resident comfort and well-being through cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support, encouraging participation in offered programs.
Candidates must have completed a Personal Support Worker program or be an Internationally Educated Nurse with a degree in Nursing, demonstrating compassion and dedication to supporting seniors. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada, pass a Vulnerable Sector Check, and exercise tact and diplomacy when interacting with residents and families.
