The role involves working in a team atmosphere within a nursing station or Health Center to provide primary and emergency care to residents ranging from newborns to elders. Responsibilities include utilizing skills for observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to the care plan, alongside health promotion and implementing care using Best Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Applicants must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and hold a nursing license through the governing body in good standing, and must meet required work experience. Candidates must also be willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the provinces or territories where they wish to work.
