The position ensures the implementation of home programs, including cooking, cleaning, and maintenance, by engaging residents in daily life skills activities and medication administration based on psychosocial rehabilitation principles. The worker will also identify and support residents in accessing community resources and services.
Required qualifications include a Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent, along with two years of recent, related experience, and a valid B.C Class 5 Driver’s license. Candidates must also be able to obtain First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Criminal Record Clearance, TB Clearance, and Foodsafe certifications upon hire.

Under the direction of the Director of Cottage/Transitional Housing Program, in a manner consistent with the Coast’s mission, philosophy, policies and objectives, the position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the home programs such as cooking, cleaning, maintenance tasks by engaging the residents in daily life skills activities, medication administration all based on the psycho social rehabilitation principles. You will further identify and support residents to access community resources and services.

Coast operates in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia providing approximately 1000 people with supportive housing and 4000 clients living in the community with a wide variety of programs and services.
