We are currently seeking one (1) regular part time Registered Foot Care Nurse to work days in the North Halton, Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton Community . The candidate must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week. The foot care nurse will see multiple clients in a clinic environment, and will also visit clients in their home to provide foot care.
Primary functions
Provide foot and/or hand care to individuals in the Community and clinic environment.
Understand and implement infection prevention practices while specifically adhering to care standards as it relates to foot care, and diabetic foot care.
Assesses the health status of the client.
Adheres to Public Health guidelines for reprocessing and sterilizing foot care tools provided.
Document as per CNO guidelines.
Liase with primary care physician as required.
Attends team meetings as required.
Position requirements
Certification from an accredited Advanced Foot Care course.
