The technologist receives and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals and executes technical procedures using radiation or radioactive materials for disease diagnosis and tracking. Specialty disciplines covered include SPECT/CT (Diagnostic CT) and PET/CT.
Candidates must possess a Nuclear Medicine Technology diploma (NMT) and have two years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Required credentials include a Computed Tomography Imaging Certificate (CTIC) and active membership/licensure with CAMRT and SAMRT.
