The technologist is responsible for receiving and disposing of radiopharmaceuticals and performing technical procedures using radiation or radioactive materials for disease diagnosis and tracking. Specialty areas include SPECT/CT (Diagnostic CT) and PET/CT procedures.
Candidates must possess a Nuclear Medicine Technology diploma, two years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, and hold a Computed Tomography Imaging Certificate. Registration with the College Medical Radiation & Imaging Professionals of Saskatchewan and membership in CAMRT/SAMRT are also mandatory.
