The wage range for this role is $22.16 - $25.19/hr A look at your benefits You are eligible to receive a bonus. You have a permanent part-time position (16-25hrs/week, 2-4 days p/week) and we currently have one vacant position. Your tasks at a glance You sterilize instruments and set up tools as needed. You reassure patients before and after their procedure and ensure they feel at ease showing empathy. You clearly explain the post-operative medication (eye drops) schedule to patients. You coordinate the flow of patients in and out of the operating room. You are comfortable working on your feet in the operating room and within the operating room area. You are a stickler for details and work with precision and accuracy. You like working in a team and know by heart the actions to take to coordinate each intervention. You support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks. A clear view of your assets You have excellent communication skills in English. You find it easy to connect with others and quickly build trust. You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously. You have a definite interest in the field of health and in helping others. You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset). Your experience in the healthcare field is considered an asset (Optometric Assistant, Orderly, Dental Assistant, Pharmacy Lab Technician, Sterilization Assistant, Animal Health Technician, Veterinary Assistant, Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, etc.).
You can travel between our LASIK MD Hamilton & LASIK MD Oakville locations for training and work (2-3 shifts p/month in Oakville).
