About the role

Position: Central Fill Pharmacist - Murphy's Kinlock Pharmacy Location: Stratford, Prince Edward Island Evening shift (Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. for a total of 35 hours per week, with the potential to extend to 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. depending on operational needs) At Murphy's Pharmacies, we're redefining the role of independent Community pharmacy in our healthcare system, and we're looking for passionate Pharmacists to join our team and make our shared vision come to life!

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Central Fill Pharmacist to join our team.

This role blends clinical expertise with operational excellence and plays a key part in supporting our centralized dispensing model while delivering high‑quality care to clients across multiple locations.

Our Pharmacists Focus on Patient Care: We've implemented central fill to process refills, built support teams that do prescription data entry and clinical validation, handle phone calls and schedule pharmacy services appointments.

In addition to what makes you unique, there are a few basics that we require for this role: Required: A license to practice pharmacy in PEI or another Canadian province.

A passion for community pharmacy practice Dedication to client care and making people’s lives better Your Role While we all work to provide services to clients, we all play different roles to make this happen.

You’ll contribute by: Technical Verification (Central Fill): Perform Technical Verification for Central Fill orders, representing approximately 50% of each shift, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Operational & Robotic Reporting: Complete Central Fill reporting analysis and robotic system reporting analysis to support performance monitoring, identify trends, and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Virtual Clinical Services: Provide virtual and telephone counselling, complete assessments, and conduct service appointments to support dispensary locations requiring remote pharmacist assistance.

Long Term Care Support: Assist with Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacist tasks as needed, including clinical reviews, communication with LTC facilities, and support with LTC program requirements.

Organizational Project Work: Participate in organizational initiatives and projects as assigned, offering clinical insight and operational support to advance pharmacy programs and services.

Provincial Regulatory Requirements: Ensure onsite pharmacist presence at the Central Fill location in accordance with provincial pharmacy regulations, even though the facility is not open to the public.

The pharmacist will serve as the responsible onsite professional to meet all regulatory requirements for central dispensing operations.

Ideal Candidate Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all technical verification responsibilities Comfortable working with automated dispensing and robotic technology, including interpreting system-generated reports Excellent communication skills with confidence delivering clinical services virtually Collaborative, adaptable, and able to support multiple teams and care environments Experience or interest in Long Term Care pharmacy is considered an asset

Requirements

Candidates must possess a license to practice pharmacy in PEI or another Canadian province, coupled with a strong passion for community pharmacy practice and dedication to client care. Ideal candidates should also exhibit strong attention to detail and comfort working with automated dispensing and robotic technology.
