The incumbent is primarily responsible for providing specialized support to men who were switched at birth in Norway House and their relatives, as well as supporting clients traveling from northern communities to Winnipeg. This involves delivering professional psychosocial assessments and interventions to individuals, families, and groups to help them cope with health-related issues and navigate social systems.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (BSW) from a CASWE accredited school or equivalent and must be registered with the Manitoba College of Social Workers. Preferred experience includes two years of recent and relevant experience, along with strong communication skills, the ability to work cooperatively, and an understanding of health and social welfare systems.
