The Veterinarian will be responsible for building strong relationships with pet parents and the support team to deliver the best possible care across a variety of cases. This role involves performing soft tissue surgical procedures, physical examinations, administering immunizations, and providing nutritional advice.
Candidates must possess a valid DVM enabling practice in Canada and demonstrate experience in key areas like surgery, physical exams, and client communication. A passion for coaching, mentoring students, and promoting team-based medicine is also highly valued.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree (DVM) Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Canada (full license) Minimum 1 full year experience post graduation Confident working on your own and performing routine elective surgeries and other common procedures Provide veterinary dental care for dogs and cats, including comprehensive oral examinations, professional dental cleanings with scaling and polishing Comfortable performing dental radiographs and, for experienced clinicians, extractions or other advanced dental procedures A commitment to providing heart-centered care and high-quality veterinary medicine What VCA Canada Offers VCA Canada Student Loan RRSP Program – Ask us more!
