Physician Assistants (PAs) practice medicine under the supervision of a physician, collecting and interpreting medical information, making clinical decisions, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. They work within a formalized relationship agreement approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
Candidates must have completed a recognized accredited PA educational program and hold membership and licensure in good standing with the CPSS. Clinical experience as a PA in a related field is an asset, along with certifications such as PALS and ACLS.
