The Pharmacist reports to the Manager of Pharmacy and provides services according to departmental policies, professional regulations, and statutes, focusing on drug procurement, distribution, and clinical pharmacy activities. This role is a float position, requiring the successful candidate to potentially work at multiple units or sites as needed, with transportation reimbursement provided if assigned to more than one site.
Required qualifications include previous knowledgeable experience with sterile product preparation and basic computer skills including typing (minimum 40wpm), along with current practicing membership or eligibility for registration with the College of Pharmacist of Manitoba (CPhM). Preferred qualifications include previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting and completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency.

Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy, the Pharmacist provides services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures, professional regulations and standards and Provincial and Federal statutes. Principle functions include drug procurement, drug distribution, and clinical pharmacy activities.
The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
This role is a float position, with a designated base location. The successful candidate may be scheduled to work at multiple units or sites as needed. If assigned to work at more than one site, the employee will receive transportation reimbursement according to organizational policy.
