The role involves facilitating structured group therapy sessions for up to 10 participants and providing individual counselling services to clients dealing with PTSD, trauma-related disorders, anxiety, and depression. A key focus is supporting female Veterans who experienced sexual abuse or assault during their military service.
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling Psychology and be registered with relevant provincial regulatory bodies like NSCSW, CCTNB, NSCCT, or BCACC. A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience working with adults experiencing trauma and a demonstrated ability to facilitate therapeutic groups are required.

We are currently expanding our dynamic team and are seeking dedicated and experienced Social Workers, Registered Psychotherapists, and Counsellors to join us in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia on a part-time or contract basis.
This role includes providing therapy to female Veterans who have experienced sexual abuse/assault during their military service. We are expanding our programming to include structured group therapy and are seeking clinicians with strong experience and confidence in facilitating therapeutic groups. It’s a chance to provide specialized, trauma-informed care in both individual and group settings, helping clients build resilience, connection, and recovery. \n
Key Responsibilities Facilitating structured group therapy sessions (up to 10 participants) Providing individual counselling services Treating clients experiencing PTSD, trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, and related concerns Supporting clients who may have experienced sexual abuse/assault during military service Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, session notes, client communications) Collaborating with clinicians to develop individualized therapeutic goals for clients Upholding professional standards and ethical guidelines as outlined by the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW), the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and other applicable governing bodies.
& Skills Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), Master’s Degree in Psychology, Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, from an accredited university Registered and in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW), the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick,the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT), or the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience working with adults experiencing PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and/or addiction Demonstrated experience facilitating therapeutic groups (required) Experience providing couples and/or family therapy (strong asset) Experience supporting survivors of sexual abuse/assault, including military sexual trauma (required) Strong trauma-informed practice framework Experience working with Veterans, RCMP or first responder populations (required)
