About the role

The physician will provide virtual consultations and medical cannabis prescriptions for patients when appropriate. They will also educate patients on the use of cannabis as medicine and monitor patient responses to prescribed dosages.

We offer effective treatments for many chronic health conditions such as pain, anxiety, sleep disorders, PTSD and more through an evidence-based approach to empower our patients to take control of their overall health. We have a team of experienced health care professionals dedicated to patient care and medical cannabis education. We are actively seeking new and better ways to treat our patients’ illnesses with medical cannabis across Canada.

The Opportunity

We are excited to expand our team of physicians who hold licenses in Quebec and are currently looking for part-time work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual consultations and medical cannabis prescriptions for patients when it is deemed an appropriate treatment option
  • Help educate patients on the use of cannabis as a medicine
  • Supporting patients who have CNESST claims
  • Follow up with patients and monitor response to dosage and cannabinoids prescribed
  • Other duties assigned.
  • Experience
  • Medical degree, registration and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of your province
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage a busy workload
  • Team-oriented approach with existing team members and physicians
  • Must be highly organized and have a good sense of time management
  • Informed and abreast of scientific research and/or willing to learn more about the industry
  • Experience in pain management or mental health is an asset
  • Previous work with pain diagnosis and/or medical cannabis is a big asset
  • Bilingual

  • Offrir des consultations virtuelles et prescrire du cannabis médical aux patients lorsque cela est jugé approprié comme option de traitement
  • Éduquer les patients sur l'utilisation du cannabis à des fins thérapeutiques
  • Soutenir les patients ayant des demandes de remboursement auprès de la CNESST
  • Assurer le suivi des patients et surveiller leur réponse au dosage et aux cannabinoïdes prescrits

  • Diplôme de médecine, inscription en règle auprès du Collège des médecins et chirurgiens de votre province
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit
  • Capacité démontrée à travailler de façon autonome et à gérer une charge de travail importante
  • Esprit d’équipe et capacité à collaborer avec les membres de l’équipe et les médecins
  • Sens aigu de l’organisation et excellente gestion du temps
  • Connaissance et intérêt pour la recherche scientifique et/ou volonté d’en apprendre davantage sur le secteur
  • Expérience en gestion de la douleur ou en santé mentale (un atout)
  • Expérience antérieure en diagnostic de la douleur et/ou en cannabis médical (un atout majeur)
  • Bilingue

Requirements
